The Alagasco building site is humming with activity as construction crews work hard to finish the new Operations Center for Anniston. Located on Pappy Dunn Boulevard, the building’s stucco and tile roofed facade with natural stone outdoor patio beautifully captures many of the historic architectural elements found throughout McClellan. Wayne Sisk, Manager of System Integrity for Alagasco, says the company is working to have building open for business by mid-June.
This new Alagasco Service Center is more than just one building.
Along with the main administrative building there is a CNG refueling station for company service vehicles, additional warehousing and storage space, and an expansive vehicle parking and equipment laydown yard all situated on a five acre parcel.
The main building will be a LEED certified facility and serve as a demonstration site for high efficiency gas usage. Company construction, meter reading, and collection departments will all have offices there and an indoor/outdoor conference meeting center will be available for public use.
