McClellan offers a wide range of public recreation opportunities. Cane Creek Golf Course is a public eighteen-hole venue that offers experienced  and not so experienced golfers alike hours of recreation on beautiful greens and rolling hills.  Located along Baltzell Gate Road, Cane Creek Golf Course is home to the annual Sunny King Golf Tournament.  The "Clubhouse" offers a well stocked pro shop and a full-service restaurant and bar or you can stop by any week day to take advantage of the daily lunch specials.

Local youth athletic organizations take advantage of the large public sports complex year round for softball, baseball, basketball, football, and soccer activities.   In addition to the well-maintained outdoor fields, there is also an outdoor walking/running track and indoor Olympic swimming pool.  The entire sports complex is located on Summerall Gate Road.
